I practice an eclectic and humanistic form of psychotherapy that begins with hearing what you need and what you want to change.
I may incorporate Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Trauma Therapy and other modalities into our work together.
I’ve worked with patients facing addiction, alcoholism and other substance use disorders, divorce, parenting crises, adjustment to major illness, legal involvement & incarceration, anxiety, unresolved trauma & PTSD.
As a published author and former college instructor of creative writing, I understand the unique and complex needs of artists, writers and other creatives.
I’m trained in diagnosis and can refer to you a colleague for medication consultation if deemed necessary and helpful.
